The fan housings lock the blades parallel to the umbrella's ribs when turned off, allowing large fans to fit into a sleek, slender frame. Integrated sensors in the umbrella pole automatically shut off the fans when the umbrella is closed, and a first-of-its-kind self-opening fan guard ensures safety and convenience.

High Torque Motors
Brushless DC motors turn the fans at 1000, 1500 or 2000 RPM. Each rated at over 10,000 hours, bolted into the frame and housed in a waterproof shell too keep you cool for years into the future.
Advanced Fan Technology
Our patented folding system locks each fan blade parallel to the frame, allowing 4 large diamenter fans to fit discreetly into the umbrellas frame. Built to be user friendly, the umbrella opens and closes normally. But with the push of a button the umbrella moves nearly twice as much air as a standard fan.
Cost-Effective
The umbrella plugs into a standard outlet but at its base is a DC converter. Using only 6 amps the umbrella uses less power than a standard pedestal fan.

Ryan is originally from Athens, GA, where he also attended the University of Georgia. His career has been diverse, including time as a professional sailor based out of St. Martin in the West Indies, servicing cooling systems in New York skyscrapers and working as a founder and inventor. Ryan has been laser focused on designing the best possible umbrella, making sure the small details combine to create something truly revolutionary. This meticulous attention to detail is reflected in every Alize Umbrella.

How is the Umbrella Powered?The umbrella has an electrical cord that attaches to an AC to DC power supply at the bottom of the umbrella pole. The power supply is waterproof and UL certified. The cord is 6 ft. long.

Does the Umbrella include the weighted base?No. The umbrella will work with any standard umbrella base available online or in retail stores.

Quietly Powerful
Fan noise is primarily caused by wind turbulence at the tip of the blades. Using advanced computer modeling, Alizé has engineered fan blades to minimize turbulence while maximizing downward airflow. Each high-strength nylon blade is custom-molded as a single piece to reduce flexing, ensuring smooth and powerful air movement at speeds of up to 1,500 RPM. If the umbrella is closed while the fans are still running, a magnetic sensor located in the umbrella pole will automatically shut off power to the motors, and all fans will safely return to the locked position, preventing damage to both the fabric and blades.
Secure Blade Locking and Airflow Control
When locked in the off position, each fan blade is shielded by cowlings at both ends, preventing the rope opening system from getting caught when the umbrella is closed and guarding against damage during movement and handling. The cowlings also direct airflow up and around the fan blades, preventing negative air pressure beneath the canopy for consistent, uninterrupted airflow. An electric solenoid inside the motor housing retracts when the fan is turned on and locks the blade securely into place when not in use, ensuring that even if the umbrella is disconnected from power, all fans remain securely locked in position.
Safe and Maintance Free
Each fan is powered by a high-torque brushless motor, with a DC design that allows for precise digital speed control and is far safer than running AC power through a metal umbrella frame. Unlike conventional DC motors that use brushes, which spark and wear out over time, our motors rely on digital control, eliminating the need for brushes and ensuring long-term, maintenance-free operation. The hubless motor design maximizes torque, allowing a compact motor to efficiently spin large fan blades. Each motor is securely mounted to the frame with three large bolts.
